Go BIG or go HOME,has been Randy’s motto for as long as he can remember. He was probably born with a grillin’ fork in his hand. After years of everyone ohhhhing and ahhhhhhing over his BBQ at social events he decided to go a little bigger with his passion and open a grill. First stop… TEXAS to get a “Randy” sized smoker/grill, then on to their first mobile unit and street fairs.The praise continues and the passion is reignited every time he sees a customer bite into his BBQ and make “the face”. Oh you know it… the “foodgasm” face. Usually followed by an “oh my God that is soooo good”!

About our Beef!

Our beef is certified 100% Green!

Why? Because, it is California bred, grown and butchered less than 100 miles from us. 

We are the ONLY Restaurant in San Diego County that serves this beef! We want to make sure that our customers are enjoying beef that has NO HORMONES and NO ANTIBIOTICS! Thats what we want to eat, why would we serve anything less?

So this is the break down. We order our Beef on Sunday, they butcher the beef just for us on monday, and we recieve it on Tuesday. We get all the meat prep done on Tuesday and begin to smoke the meat just for you Wednesday through Sunday. There really is no question of freshness here at ApeHangers Grill!
